Presenting at schools and libraries is the absolute best. I get to encourage students to read and write, just as I did when I worked as a teacher. My audiences range from classroom to auditorium-size, though I custom fit presentations to make sure every student gets the most out of my visit.

Here are my current presentation offerings: The Top Three Super-Villains of Writing Young authors, BEWARE! Super-villains are ready to thwart your writing power. Team up with Gina and her friend, Ellie Ultra, to learn the strategies that authors use to save their stories and stand up to these no-good baddies. Grade level: K-5 Time length: 40 min. Author Me, Author You Gina’s young audience is full of authors. She can prove it, too! First, she shares her storytelling world—from her earliest writings to where her ideas come from. Along the way, she helps audience members discover their own inner authors. Grade level: K-2 Time length: 30 min. Enjoy Illinois...with Gina Come fly with Ruby the Northern Cardinal across the Prairie State! Visit the World's Fair, meet Route 66 giants, swing by the capital, and learn what makes Illinois great. Gina's travel companions also get a “giant” souvenir! Grade level: K-5 Time length: 30 min. Community Helpers to the Rescue! Did you know librarians, vets, police officers, and firefighters are superheroes in disguise? Learn about the BAM! tools and POW! skills they use to save the day…every day! Grade level: K-2 Time length: 30 min. At the end of my presentation, questions are always welcomed and encouraged. |
